Better Structure for displaying FAQ articles
Jeremy Sankey 11/21/2013 12:04:20 PM
Is there anyway to sort the KB articles in order of preference instead of most recently date/time modified? In many cases we like to update less important articles however retain the most important articles on the front Support page. However if/when we do that now we have to then re-open those other articles after and submit a new update 9even if nothing changes) to keep it on the front Support page.

It would seem this would be simple functionality but I cannot seem to locate where to adjust this.

Hi Jeremy,

you can add numbers as prefixes to FAQs subjects and then sort by subject.
Other than that, which criteria would you have in mind that would help the system to understand how to sort FAQs in the order of preference?

Thank you,
Val

Hey Val,

So I would have to rename the articles (i.e. "1 - Missing Icons", "2 - Uninstall")? Ideally it would be nice to have an area whereby you could see the FAQ articles in a list with a "Move Up" / "Move Down" to list them in order of importance, know what I mean? Could I request that for a future update?

Hi Jeremy,

I agree, this would be a nice feature to have such a list to "Move Up" / "Move Down" FAQs.
Please add this idea to the Idea Exchange: http://teamdesk.crmdesk.com/ideaexchange.aspx

I am also curious - whether your important FAQs list approximately matches "Top 10 Knowledge Base records" from the FAQ statistics screen: http://officecalendar.crmdesk.com/support/statistics.aspx?scope=0

Thank you,
Val
